Architectural and park complex of Vladimir Khrapovitsky's estate in Muromtsevo
The unique estate and park complex built in the last third of the 19th century through the early 20th century by Vladimir Khrapovitsky, a timber merchant and a benefactor. They don't call this masterpiece by Khrapovitsky 'The Russian Versailles amidst the Vladimir forestland' for nothing. Petr Boytsov, one of the most prominent Russian architects, created the estate in the style of French chateaus and Scottish castles.
The Muromtsevo Estate and Its Owners exposition is located in the visitor centre of Vladimir Khrapovitsky's estate.
The boat pavilion was opened for visitors in July 2015. The pavilion is situated a short distance away from the main mansion house. A small hall on the second floor houses the Muromtsevo Estate and Its Owners exposition.
Excursions, exhibitions, conferences, festivals are also held here; scientific research and collecting activities are carried out as well.

The old park with its ancient oaks, pine trees, larches, and poplars gives a special vibe of mysteriousness to the estate. Here one can endlessly enjoy the harmony of nature and architecture. The architectural forms of the preserved structures are fascinating, too: the romantic half-ruined castle with a tower and lancet windows, the boat pavilion, the large park with water cascades, and household buildings.
