Wooden Architecture Museum

The Wooden Architecture Museum established in the 1960s represents a full-size model of an early Russian town. Interestingly, all structures are real! Residential houses, churches, mills, barns, drying sheds were transported to Suzdal from villages and rural settlements of the Vladimir region. 18 wooden architecture monuments of the 18th and 19th centuries are located here.

18 wooden structures dating back to the 18th and 19th centuries cut by skilled Russian carpenters using only an axe and erected nearly without a single nail. You will see barns resting on piles, peasant log huts, a tread well, wind mills and churches. This is the place to hold traditional festivals much loved by tourists.
