Peter and Fevronia Monument
The monument to Peter and Fevronia was unveiled on 7 July 2012 on the Krestyanina Square, between the Svyato-Troitsky Convent and the Blagoveshchensky Monastery. In ancient times on the Convent Glade there was the Prince's Court, so the monument is a symbolic return of the holy prince and princess to the place where they lived.
The two-metre bronze sculpture is mounted on a granite pedestal of the same height. The monument was created by Vladimir Surovtsev, a People's Artist of Russia at his own expense.
