LOCAL HISTORY MUSEUM

Pokrov has always been a rather quiet town with a slow pace of life, which captivates not only with its unique beauty, but also with its fascinating history. The museum's exhibitions tell about the history of Pokrov, starting with the Antoniev Monastery, and then the Holy Vvedensky Monastery, and about the formation and development of Pokrovsky Uyezd. 

Specially highlighted the theme "Pokrov Zaezzhai", reflecting the importance of Pokrov as a convenient transit point on the Vladimir highway. The interior of the postal station, Yamshchitskaya-Convictskaya, Pokrovskaya hotel is reproduced here. The authentic items of the Cheburov family of Russia's best coachmen are presented. 

In the museum, you can get acquainted with the activities and everyday life of citizens, crafts and crafts that developed on Pokrovskaya land. The exhibition contains authentic antiques, weapons, and icons. Guests will be interested in the section "Nostalgia. Pokrov Sovetskiy", which tells about the peculiarities of the development and achievements of the city's residents during the Soviet period.


CHOCOLATE MUSEUM

Guests will learn about the fascinating history of chocolate, which began more than 3,000 years ago and is filled with interesting events and facts. 

You will see wax figures of Native Americans, accompanied by the sound of a chocolate fountain and the beating of drums as they prepare to make this sweet treat. Not far from the Chocolate Museum, there is an unusual, first and only monument to chocolate in the world. It is a bronze statue of a Fairy holding a chocolate bar in her hand.
