1921 год
The samovar tower was built in 1921 by architect A.P. Vereshchagin. The tower was originally conceived as a water tower. Its bizarre shape was not chosen by chance, since in those days Kolchuginsky samovars were popular in all corners of the country.
After the reconstruction in 2008, the tower acquired a modern look. The exterior improvement works were aimed at restoring the original appearance of the tower, which gives it an exquisite spirit of noble antiquity.
The tower is crowned by a heraldic weather vane bird, a capercaillie, and the facade of the tower is decorated with a clock with the coat of arms of the city. The old tower is one of the main symbols of the city of Kolchugino.
